Honours and Awards Prof. Lo Yuk-ming Dennis, Li Ka Shing Professor of Medicine and chairman of the Department of Chemical Pathology, has won the 2014 King Faisal International Prize for Medicine for his outstanding achievements in the research on non-invasive prenatal diagnosis. Prof. Hau Kit-tai, Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Choh- Ming Li Professor of Educational Psychology, has been selected a 2014 Fellow of the American Educational Research Association. Prof. Rossa Chiu, professor in the Department of Chemical Pathology, has received the Science and Technology Award for Chinese Youth for her work in non-invasive prenatal diagnosis. Two top research academics from CUHK were presented the prestigious Senior Research Fellowships 2014/15 of the Croucher Foundation. Prof. Huang Yu, professor of the School of Biomedical Sciences and director of the Institute of Vascular Medicine, received the Croucher Senior Research Fellowship. Prof. James Y.W. Lau, Professor of Surgery and director of the Endoscopy Centre at the Prince of Wales Hospital, was awarded the Senior Medical Research Fellowship. Prof. Joseph J.Y. Sung, Vice-Chancellor and Mok Hing Yiu Professor of Medicine, has been awarded the 2014 Hong Kong Fulbright Distinguished Scholar Award to make a lecture tour of major US universities. Six teams from CUHK won three first awards in the 13th Challenge Cup held at Soochow University from 13 to 18 October 2013, to clinch the Hong Kong and Macau Cup again for the sixth consecutive time. The three projects that received the first award were ‘Under-actuated Wire-driven Mechanism and Highly Efficient Robot Fish’, ‘Converting Infrared Light into Broadband Visible Light at High Efficiency Using Lanthanide-sensitized Oxides’, and ‘Five Institutions with One Village’. In addition to them, one CUHK project received the second award and two the third award. 榮譽與獎項 李嘉誠醫學講座教授兼化學病理學系 系主任盧煜明教授，榮獲2014年度費 薩爾國王國際醫學獎，表揚他在無創 性產前診斷研究的傑出成就。 副校長兼卓敏教育心理學講座教授 侯傑泰，獲美國教育研究協會評選為 2014年度院士。 化學病理學系趙慧君教授憑藉其在無 創性產前診斷研究及應用的成就，獲 第十三屆中國青年科技獎。 兩位中大學者獲頒授裘槎基金會2014 至15年度「優秀科研者獎」。生物醫 學學院教授兼心腦血管醫學研究所所 長黃聿教授獲授「優秀科研者獎」。 外科講座教授兼威爾斯親王醫院內鏡 中心榮譽總監劉潤皇教授獲「優秀醫 學科研者獎」。 中大校長兼莫慶堯醫學講座教授沈祖 堯獲頒2014年香港富布賴特傑出學者 獎，獲邀在美國多所頂尖高等學府巡 迴講學。 中大六支學生隊伍參加2013年10月13 至18日在蘇州大學舉行的第十三屆挑 戰盃全國大學生課外學術科技作品競 賽，連續第六屆贏得港澳優勝盃，六 項參賽作品中，「仿生拉線機構及高 效推進機器魚」、「高效紅外到可見 光的能量上轉換及其太陽能電池上的 運用」及「『五專一村』鄉村可持續 發展支援計劃」獲一等獎，另一項獲 二等獎，兩項獲三等獎。 趙慧君教授 Prof. Rossa Chiu 黃聿教授 Prof. Huang Yu 劉潤皇教授 Prof. James Y.W.
