在 2013至14年度，中文大學在各 界友好鼎力支持下繼續發展， 為促進教學與研究工作，成立多個不 同學科的研究中心，並建成新的教研 設施。 何善衡護理教學中心 那打素護理學院何善衡護理教學中心 命名典禮於2013年8月19日舉行，逾 三百位本地醫療護理領袖、護理業界 同僚、教學人員及學生出席。 獲何善衡慈善基金會慷慨撥款資助 成立的教學中心，提供嶄新先進的網 上學習設施及高度仿真的臨床學習環 境，協助護理學生更有效地學習與發 展以病人為中心的護理專業知識與技 能。 何善衡泌尿中心 外科學系獲何善衡慈善基金會慷慨支 持成立的何善衡泌尿中心在2013年 11月8日舉行開幕典禮。吳志輝教授 出任中心主任。中心的使命是加強對 醫護人員及公眾有關泌尿疾病治療的 教育，並進行基礎和臨床研究，尤其 着重蒐集本地華人的經驗和數據， 藉以促進本港和鄰近地區民眾的泌 尿系統健康。前列腺癌將是該中心的 重點研究領域之一。 D uring the academic year 2013–14, the Chinese University had established a number of new research centres and facilities with the generous support from different sectors of the community. These new additions to the University’s resources will greatly support its teaching and research activities, and thus benefiting the community. S.H. Ho Nursing Teaching and Learning Centre The naming ceremony of S.H. Ho Nursing Teaching and Learning Centre was held by the Nethersole School of Nursing on 19 August 2013. More than 300 local health care and nursing leaders, nursing practitioners, staff and students were in attendance. Set up with a generous donation from the S.H. Ho Foundation, the centre provides nursing students with state-of-the-art e-learning facilities and a highly realistic simulated clinical environment conducive to effective learning and development of patient-centred nursing care competencies. S.H. Ho Urology Centre With a generous donation from the S.H. Ho Foundation, the S.H. Ho Urology Centre at the Department of Surgery opened on 8 November 2013. With Prof. Anthony C.F. Ng as its director, the centre is aimed at promoting urological education for physicians and the public education in Hong Kong and the region, and conducting basic and clinical research, in particular, the establishment of local Chinese experience and data. Among all urological diseases, prostate cancer will be one of the centre’s focus research areas. 發展里程 Development Milestones 39
