University Gallery In celebration of its Golden Jubilee, CUHK opened the University Gallery on 28 November 2013. Through the display of hundreds of precious photographs, artefacts, and multimedia resources, the gallery exhibits the history, memorable moments and achievements of CUHK in the past 50 years, events which often mirror developments in Hong Kong. Built with a generous donation from the T.S. Kwok Foundation and located at the main entrance of the University Library, the gallery comprises seven zones across two storeys, including milestones through the decades, the first years, the ideas and practice of whole-person education, outstanding scholars, China studies, overseas collaborations, and stories of CUHK personalities. Joint Research Centre for Language and Human Complexity The Chinese University of Hong Kong–Peking University–University System of Taiwan Joint Research Centre for Language and Human Complexity was established in December 2013. A new platform of collaboration, the centre is the first cross-strait joint research centre to examine human complexity from the perspective of language. The centre will further enhance the partnership of the three universities in the areas of language and human complexity, constructing a more systemized and solid research base across the strait. It will also conduct fieldwork and laboratory experiments to examine human nature, aiming to deepen our understanding of the biological basis 大學展覽廳 為誌金禧校慶而籌建的大學展覽 廳，於2013年11月28日開幕， 展示數百珍貴歷史照片和文物， 並設多媒體資源，讓公眾人士、 師生及校友認識中大過去半世紀 的發展歷程及成就，同時回顧香 港社會幾十年間的迅速發展。 由郭得勝基金贊助籌建的展覽廳 設於大學圖書館正門入口處，共 兩層，分為七大展區──中大大 事回顧、創校歷程、全人教育的 教學理念及特色、顯赫學人、中 國研究、海外合作、中大人及中 大精神的故事。 語言與人類複雜系統研究中心 香港中文大學、北京大學及台灣聯合 大學系統於2013年12月共同成立語言 與人類複雜系統聯合研究中心，致力 研究語言、大腦、文化三者互動演化 40 發展里程 Development Milestones
