A The Students' Union and the Drama Club of Chung Chi presented a four-scene Cantonese play “Thunderstorm" to raise fund s for the students' welfare loan at the hall of Queen Elizabeth School for three consecutive evenings as from October 15. A large audience was attracted each evening. A On November 1 , Chung Chi celebrated the 14th anniversary of its Founders' Day in a religious ceremony. Dr. C.T. Yung, the President, gave a brief history of the founding of Chung Chi College. Bishop R.O. Hall addressed the assembly. The traditional round-the-College race was held, followed by the inter-faculty exhibition-stalls competition, staff vs. student softball match, tug-of-war, building cleanliness competition, etc. A military band was invited to play music on the spot. Lunch and suppe r were provided, and the programmes were rounded up with a ba ll A The Staff Association of Chung Chi College held a garden party on the lawn outside the churc h on November 1 , at 3:30 p.m. Mr. R.N. Rayne, the Vice-President, was elected Chairman of the Association. Due to a proof-reading error, the graduate year of M r . Yao Pe-chun from the University of Hong Kong (p. 10 , Vol. I No . I V) should be 1942 instead of 1943. EDITOR 10
