C . M . G . , M.C ., in a brie f ceremony on No v emb er 19 , 1966. T h e Chancellor cut the r i b b on in the presence of about 200 guests and senior members of the Un i v e r s i t y. I n his address, H is Excellency emphasized the importance of i n v i t i ng visiting scholars to the University. A f t er his address, the Vice-Chancellor, D r . C . M . L i spoke, explaining the meaning of the Chinese name of the Ha l l, Po Wen Yuan (博文苑). T h e Hall, a 6-storied b u i l d i ng covering an area of 23,200 sq. ft. on the campus of C h u ng C h i College w i t h a car park on the lower g r o u nd floor, is the first b u i l d i n g ever erected by the Un i v e r s i t y.
