DONATION OF BOOKS The British Council has again donated a total or £ 3 , 0 00 worth of books to the University Library and the College Libraries. UNIVERSITY STAFF TO SERVE ON OUTSIDE BODIES Dr. Cheng-siang Chen, Professor of Geography, has been invited to be Honorary President of The Hong Kong Geographical Association, an association for promoting closer relationship among geographers in Hong Kong. The first General Meeting of the Association was held at the City Hall on 21st May, 1969, and lectures and field trips are planned. Mr. H.T. Wu, University Registrar, has been invited by the Chief Justice of Hong Kong to be a member of a Working Party with the following terms of reference: (a) to consider and make proposals for local examinations leading to the acquisition of the qualification for entry as a Barrister or Solicitor in Hong Kong; ( b) to make proposals fo r any consequential amendments of the Legal Practitioners Ordinance Cap. 159; and ( c) to consider and advise upon the proposed syllabus of the Hong Kong University LL .
