STAFF PROFILES Mr. Hung Pao-shu, Lecturer in Business Administration, New Asia College Mr. Hu ng Pao-shu, a native o f Liaoning, obtained his M . A. degree f r om the Graduate School o f Political Science, National Chengchi University. In 1955, Mr. Hu ng was awarded a scholarship to pursue advanced studies in Finance at the Finance School, U.S.A. Mr. Hu ng served as Professor of A c c o u n t i ng at Nanyang University and was w i t h the National Chengchi University for twelve years, first serving as Professor and later head o f the Ac c o u n t i ng Department. Mr. Hu ng has published more than t h i r ty articles on finance and accounting in various academic journals. His major works include the four-volume Principles of Accounting. Dr. Jürgen K.P. K l ü n d e r , Visiting Lecturer in German Studies,United College Dr. Jürgen K.P. K l ü n d e r, b o rn in Hamb u rg in 1940, read phonetics, science o f c ommu n i c a t i on and German literature at Hamb u rg University f r om 1962 to 1964. He then j o i n ed Vienna University to study sciences o f theatre, history o f art, philosophy and psychology for five years and obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1969. His graduation thesis is on ' Mo d el o f Dramaturgy o f Sciences o f Theatre'. He has published a b o ok entitled Sciences of Theatre and Science of Communication. Dr. K l ü n d er assumed d u ty at this University in February 1971. Miss Chan Yin-Ling, Administrative Assistant, University Registry Miss Chan Y i n - L i n g, a graduate o f Belilios Public School, obtained her B.A. in Chinese at the University o f Ho ng K o ng in 1968. She completed the two-year Advanced Translation Certificate Course o f the Department o f Extra-Mural Studies o f this University in 1969. In 1968-1969 Miss Chan taught English at St. Stephen's Church College and also helped in general school administration. She then wo r k ed as Interpreter/ Translator in the Colonial Secretariat for t wo years before j o i n i ng the University in July 1971. Her w o r k in the General and Public A f f a i rs Section o f the Registry includes translation, compilation o f material on this University for publications o f educational organizations, and arrangements for University ceremonies and functions. (see also pictures in Chinese section) COMINGS AND GOINGS •Mr. Wang Yung-chi, Mr. Philip A . Johnson and Mr. Thomas Lung, representatives of the Wo r ld Association for Christian Communication, visited New Asia College on 9 th February. • Mr. D.J.G. Holroyde, Director o f Television Services at Leeds University, England, visited United College and New Asia College on 7 th and 10th February respectively. • Dr. Paul Newma n, Lecturer and Chairman of the Department o f Philosophy and Religion, Chung Chi College, attended the Executive Committee Meeting o f the Association o f Theological Schools in Southeast Asia held in Bangkok f r om 13th to 2 0 th February. • 13 members of the administrative staff of the University o f Hong K o ng visited the University on 25 th February and attended the University's mo n t h ly luncheon. 9 other administrators w i ll pay a similar visit on 17th March. • His Excellency the Chancellor Sir Mu r r ay Mac- Lehose visited the University campus on 2 8 th February and met senior administrative staff and student leaders. • A g o o dw i ll mission o f 20 calligraphers f r om Japan visited New Asia College on 2 9 th February. 一 1 1 一 土博德倫江 Dr. J ü rgen K.P.
