Designer responsible for automated design and manufacturing systems. Dr. Bennington received his B.Sc ., M.Sc., and Ph.D. at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology. Prof. Jacob Cohen Honorary Visiting Professor of Economics Dr. Jacob Cohen, Professor of Economics and Finance, University of Pittsburgh, is spending his sabbatical term as Honorary Visiting Professor of Economics at this University. Before joining the University of Pittsburgh in 1964 , he taught for a number of years at Bowling Green State University in Ohio (USA). He holds the Ph.D. degree from the University of Chicago. His areas of interest are monetary economics and economic accounting. Mr. Yu Kwang-chung Reader in Chinese, United College Born in Nanking, China, Mr. Yu Kwang-chung obtained a B.A. degree at the National Taiwan University in 1952 and an M.F.A. degree at the State University of Iowa in 1959. In 1959 Mr. Yu joined the faculty of National Taiwan Normal University as Lecturer in English and was promoted to professorship in 1971. In 1964-65 he revisited the United States as Fulbright Visiting Professor in Chinese Literature successively at Bradley University , Central Michigan University, and Gettysburg College. The next year he became Associate Professor of English at Western Michigan University. In 1969-71 he served as Foreign Curriculum Consultant at Temple Buell College, Denver, Colorado and helped to set up its Study Center in Taipei, of which he was Resident Director for two years (1971-73). Before he took up his new assignment as Reader in Chinese at this University in August 1974, Mr. Yu was Head of Department of Western Languages and Literature, National Chengchi University (1972-74). Mr. Yu is one of the founders of the Blue Stars Poetry Society in Taiwan, and has been editor of various literary publications. Over the past twenty years Mr. Yu has been prolific as a poet, essayist, critic and translator. His poetry has been translated into English, French , German, Portuguese, Korean and Japanese translations. Mr. Arthur Hinton Lecturer, School of Education Mr. Arthur Hinton studied History at the University of Bristol and obtained his B.A. degree in 1947 and Certificate in Education in 1948. At the end of 1948’ he went to Malaya and taught in Johore Bahru in 1949-52. He came to Hong Kong in 1953 and has been teaching here since. From 1954 to 1967 he taught in Queen Elizabeth School, being its principal for the last eight of those years. He was transferred to Northcote College of Education as Principal and remained there until 1974 when he joined the School of Education of this University as Lecturer. Mr. Hinton has always regarded teachers' organizations as important and has been active in them. He is now Chairman of the Educators' Social Action Council. Mr. Deng Tung-ping Lecturer in Business Administration, New Asia College Mr. Deng Tung-ping obtained his B.A. degree at Soochow University i n 1962 , his M.Ec. degree at the University of Sydney in 1967 , and went to the Ohio State University for further studies in 1970-71. Mr. Deng was an Instructor at Soochow University between 1967 and 70 and a Lecturer at the Hong Kong Baptist College from 1971 to 1974. Mr. Deng joined the Business Administration Faculty of this University in 1974 as Lecturer at New Asia College. Mr. Wong Po-cheung , Paul Assistant University Bursar Mr. Wong Po-cheung, Paul , returned to Hong Kong in 1966, after having spent almost 10 years in Australia, where he studied Accountancy with the Hemingway Robertson Institute.
