The University has received the following gifts and donations. Research Projects (1) From the World Health Organization the following research grants: (a) US$70,000 in support of the project on ‘A Multicentre Collaborative Approach for the Isolation of Fertility Regulating Agents from Plants' for 1984; and (b) US$20,000 in support of the project on 'Inhibition of Enzymes by Gossypol During Spermatogenesis' for 1983-84. (2) From an anonymous donor a donation of HK$100,000 in support of research by the Department of Surgery. (3) From Mr. D.Y. Pong a donation of HK$ 100,000 towards the expenses of the Chinese Medicinal Material Research Centre. (4) From Mr. Y.L .L iu a donation of HK$100,000 in support of the translation programme of the University. (5) From the Television Broadcasts limited a 24 PERSONALIA/GIFTS AND DONATIONS
