47 News in Brief CUHK Foundation Established in the US T o foster closer relationship with alumni and friends in the United States, The Chinese University of Hong Kong Foundation, Inc. has been established in the US. All donations to the foundation benefitting CUHK are tax deductible in the US. Support for the foundation is welcomed. Donation cheques made payable to ‘The Chinese University of Hong Kong Foundation, Inc.’, preferably in US dollars, should be addressed to the Office of Institutional Advancement at 6/F, Tin Ka Ping Building, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shatin, New Territories, Hong Kong SAR, China. An acknowledgement of receipt and a US tax deductible receipt will be dispatched to each donor in due course. CUHK Wins Hong Kong Flower Show Award C UHK beat other competitors in the open category to win the Grand Award for Unique Feature in the Hong Kong Flower Show 2007. The show was held by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department from 16 to 25 March at the Hong Kong Victoria Park. The CUHK booth was a joint effort among the Institute of Chinese Medicine, the School of Chinese Medicine and the Landscaping Section of the Estates Management Office. Various Chinese herbal plants for cancer treatment, as well as anti-cancer herbs were on display.
