Lee Woo Sing College The CUHK Council approved on 9 October 2007 the acceptance of a major pledge of HK$150 million for the establishment of Lee Woo Sing College. The College will accommodate 600 residential students and provide additional facilities and resources for up to 600 non-residential students. The anonymous donor chooses to name the new College after Mr Lee Woo-sing in appreciation of and respect for Mr Lee's commitment to education. Having served for many years as a member of the Council of CUHK and the Board of Trustees of Shaw College, Mr Lee is currently the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Shaw College, and a member of the Executive Committee of the University Council. The University has been able to obtain donations to establish new Colleges providing places and new facilities for over 3,000 additional undergraduates in 2012 when the four-year normative curriculum is implemented. The other new Colleges are Morningside College, S.H. Ho College, C.W. Chu College, and Wu Yee Sun College. Together with the constituent Colleges, these new members of CUHK's collegiate family will offer more choices to students and continue to contribute significantly to the quality of their educational experience.
