Rhodes Scholar Zhang Tianyu (Integrated BBA, Chung Chi) defeated 50 contenders to become Hong Kong Rhodes Scholar 2007 — CUHK's seventh in 10 years. She is studying f o r an MSc i n f i nanc i a l economics at Oriel College, Oxford University. PricewaterhouseCoopers Scholarship Sharon Pang (Year 3, professional accountancy) (left 3) won the PricewaterhouseCoopers Scholarship 2007 — CUHK's fourth in six years. Putonghua Debate The Putonghua debate team beat teams from mainland China, Macau, Taiwan and Singapore to win the Fifth Intervarsity Debate Competition held in Macau from 7 to 11 April 2007.
