Appointments Prof. Lawrence J. Lau has been appointed concurrently by the University Council on 22 May 2007 as Ralph and Claire Landau Professor of Economics. Mr. Charles Y.W. Leung has been elected by the Board of Trustees of New Asia College to serve as a member of the Council from 30 November 2007, succeeding the late Dr. Vincent W.H. Chou. The Honourable Li Kwok-ying has been elected by the members of the Legislative Council, from among their own number, as a member of the Council of The Chinese University of Hong Kong for a period of three years from 29 October 2007, succeeding the Honourable Kwong Chi-kin.
