Lau, Vice-Chancellor of the University, remarked, ‘This is the starting point of CUHK’s development in Shenzhen and a milestone in Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation.’ Prof. Xu Guanhua, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee, said, ‘Today we witness not only the ground-breaking of a building, but the grand vision of a university.’
