12 Chinese University Bulletin No. 2, 2009 I n Kyoto, there is a path called ‘The Philosopher’s Walk’ and it is thus named because the famous Kyoto University philosophy professor Nishida Kitaro liked to stroll there while meditating on philosophical issues. If we are to pick a ‘Philosopher’s Walk’ on CUHK campus, it could be the running track at the Sir Philip Haddon-Cave Sports Field because it is where Shun Kwong-loi, Professor of Philosophy at CUHK, jogs while listening to his MP3 and musing on philosophical questions.
