The Telemedicine Centre consists of a conglomerate of facilities that include state-of-the-art teleconference equipment, a broadband LAN that links all offices, outpatients, operating theatres, classrooms, as well as rooms dedicated for international teleconferences. It is linked with the main University campus as well as the Orthopaedics Learning Centre. It actively organizes teleneuroradiology, telegeriatrics, teleendoscopy, and telepathology programmes as well as regular international teleconferences and Internet conferences. These include in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET), cryopreservation of human embryos, and micromanipulation of gametes. It also conducts research into follicular growth and oocyte maturation, endocrine response to ovarian hyperstimulation, and the biochemistry of follicular fluids.
