The state-of-the- art facilities at the laboratory, including video players, editing equipment, and recording equipment, enable users to record performances, and to create and edit videos for teaching and research purposes. Unit for Research in Assisted Human Reproduction Tel.: 2632 3535/2632 3199 Fax.: 2636 0008 Apart from promoting a large clinical service, this sub-speciality unit of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is involved in a range of research projects on various aspects of assisted human reproduction. These include in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer (IVF-ET), cryopreservation of human embryos, and micromanipulation of gametes. Specific areas of research interest include the investigation of factors that support embryo growth, in vitro maturation of oocytes, causes of male factor infertility and psychological stresses associated with IVF-ET treatment. Facilities are provided in the Assisted Human Reproduction Unit at the Prince of Wales Hospital with support from the Lee Hysan Laboratories.
