Persons who have graduated with good honours degrees from recognized universities and who have the capacity for research may apply for admission to the above postgraduate programmes. Starting from 2000–1, all newly-admitted students are required to achieve a certain level of competence in IT. They are required to pass the IT Proficiency Test before they graduate. If they pass, ‘IT Proficiency Passed’ will be recorded on the transcripts. If they fail, they are required to attend summer intensive courses in IT.
