SupportFacilities,Services, andStaffOrganizations 143 Office of the Arts Administrator The Manager of Sir Run Run Shaw Hall is concurrently ap pointed as the Arts Administrator of the University. His duties include,in addition to the presentation of artsprogrammes, the promotion and coordination of campus-wideartsactivities, and the provision of educational opportunities in the arts for the University’s stu dents in relatio n to their aesth etic development. The Off ice of the Arts Administrator publishes a monthly Chinese University Cultureand Arts Calendar ( CUCAC ), which is mailed to all d epartmen ts and units, and is o btainable at student hostels and canteens, and other public places on campus. Copies of the CUCAC can be mailed to individuals on request. Information and Public Relations Services TheInformation and Public Relations Office of the University Secretariat is mainly responsible for providing information and public relations servicesboth internally and externally. Itliaises closelywith themedia through its functions which include answering press enquiries, or ganizing press conferences, press in terv iews and med ia gatherings, and issuing pr ess r eleases r eg ularly o n Univ er sity n ews and developments. Th e of fice handles b oth intern al and external en quir ies, in forms the University community about campusactivitiesthrough the publication of Campus Events , and helps update information aboutthe University for localand overseas publications. It is also resp onsible for organizin g of ficial f unctions such as deg ree congregations, public lectures, seminars, agreement signing and pr esentation ceremonies. Itplays hostto localand overseas visitors and produces promotional materials introducing the University to visitors. University Publications The Publication Office (website: http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/puo ) of the University Secretar iat pr odu ces of ficial pu blications th at pro vid e d iff erent typ es of information about the University. Most of these publications have both print and electronic versions. The Chinese University of Hong Kong Calend ar (website: http://www. cuhk.edu.hk/puo/calendar/index.htm) , published in Chinese and English in autumn each year, is a un iversity catalogu e with info rmation ab out th e h istor y, organization,facilities, regulations, and academic programmes of the University. Copies are on sale at TheChinese University Press and the University Bookshop. The Chinese University of Hong Kong Annual Report (website: http :// www.cuhk.edu.hk/puo/report/index.htm ) ispublished annually aroundDecember to review the major developments of the University in th e previous academic year.
