Postgraduate Programme Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration Double Degree Programme ( www2.cuhk.edu.hk/gss/course_list08.php ) Other Programmes Intensive Programme in Putonghua, Cantonese and English All students in their first year of attendance are required to complete an Intensive Programme in Putonghua, Cantonese and English. The purpose of the Programme is to provide an opportunity for students to strengthen their ability to consult dictionaries for the correct pronunciation of individual characters or words. The Programme provides students with a pronunciation foundation for more advanced language courses offered by various units of the University and promotes an awareness of the importance of language ability. Physical Education Physical Education is the required programme which emphasizes the development of personality and health through teamwork and fair play as well as the acquisition of basic motor skills and attitude towards physical activities. Leadership Development Programme The Leadership Development Programme aims at nurturing the leadership potential of selected students of the University and preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of the new era. Students are normally admitted into the Programme in their second year of university attendance. Student IT Competence Rapid advances in information technology (IT) are leading us into the information age, changing the way we work, communicate and play, and increasing our productivity. IT literacy, the ability to use computers and other technologies to improve learning, productivity and performance, has become essential. To help students acquire this fundamental skill, the University provides a training and test package targeted at basic IT skills.
