CUHK Newsletter Long Service Awa rd Presentat ion Ceremony 1989-90 On Saturday, 10th February 1990, 24 members of the staff and faculty were honoured by the University with Long Service Awards in recognition of their 25 years of service to the University. The 'Long Service Award Presentation Ceremony 1989-90' featured an address by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Charles Kao, and the presentation of the Long Service Awards by the Vice-Chancellor, The ceremony was the second of its kind in the University's history. One year ago, while the University was celebrating its 25th anniversary, the first group of 25-year staff/faculty members were similarly honoured. The CUHK Newsletter have interviewed some of the recipients of this year's award. In this issue we will report the comments shared by 11 of them; in the next issue we will profile the other honorees.
