Li, professor of surgery, has been reappointed amember of the Committee on Science and Technology by HE the Governor from March 1991. • Mr. Andrew Wong Wang-fat, lecturer in government and public administration, has been reappointed a member of the Economic Review Committee by HE the Governor from 1st February to 30th September 1991. • Dr. Fanny M. C. Cheung, senior lecturer in Psychology, has been appointed by HE the Governor as a member of the Sha Tin District Board from 1st April 1991 to 30th September 1994. • Prof. Yeung Yue-man, professor of geography, has been appointed by HE the Governor to serve on the Town Planning Board for one year from 1st April 1991. He has also been invited to join the International Advisory Board of the Third World Planning Review (published by the University of Liverpool, UK) for three years from August 1991. • Mr. William Wan Hon-cheung, alumni affairs officer, has been appointed by HE the Governor to serve on the Town Planning Board for one year from 1st April 1991. He has also been appointed as a member of the Sai Kung District Board from 1st April 1991 to 30th September 1994. • The following staff members have been appointed by HE the Governor to serve on various training boards/committees of the Vocational Training Council for two years from 1st April 1991: 一 Dr. Leung Wai-yin, lecturer in journalism and communication, on the Advertising, Public Relations and Publishing Training Board. 一 Mr. Hsu Dan-lin, lecturer in finance, on the Banking Training Board. - D r . Ching Pak-chung, lecturer in electronic engineering, on the Electronics Industry Training Board. - D r . Joseph M. Chan, lecturer in journalism and communication, on the Journalism Training Board. - D r . Charles F. S teilen, senior lecturer in marketing, on the Committee on Management and Supervisory Training. - D r . Chan Sin-wai, senior lecturer in translation, on the Committee on Translation. • Prof. Liu Shu-hsien, professor of philosophy, has been invited to serve on the School of Humanities and Social Science Advisory Committee, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology for two years from 1st May 1991. • Prof. P. C. Leung, professor of orthopaedics and traumatology, has been elected as an honorary member and as the seventh corresponding member of the Japanese Orthopaedic Association from January 1991. He has also been elected an honorary member of the Indonesian Orthopaedic Association. • Prof. Patrick C. P. Ho, professor of surgery, has been appointed an honorary consultant of the Ophthalmology Department, Beijing Hospital, Ministry of Public Health; and visiting professor at The Fourth Mi l i t a ry Medical College, Xian, Shaanxi, both effective March 1991. Prof. Ho has also been reappointed honorary consultant ophthalmologist of the Alice Ho Mill Ling Nethersole Hospital for 1991. • Prof. K. C. Mun, professor of marketing, has been invited by the China Assets (Holdings) Limited to serve as amember of its advisory board. • Dr. Robert E. Allinson, senior lecturer in philosophy, has been appointed a permanent member of the editorial b o a r d o f The Journal of Chinese Philosophy published by the University of Hawaii, Honolulu. • Dr. Tsao Pen Yeh, lecturer inmusic, has been appointed by the Council for Performing Arts as a member of the Music Committee and of the Working Group on Chinese Operas. Dr. Tsao also serves as adviser to the Hong Kong Museum of History on the acquisition of musical instruments, and as a foundation member of the Music Advisory Committee of the School of Music, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. • Dr. ChanWing Wah, lecturer in music, served as adjudicator in the 43rd Hong Kong SchoolsMusic Festival from 27th February to 13th March 1991.
