Lee of the Department of Sociology has been appointed by HE the Governor as Non-official Justice of the Peace for Hong Kong from 7th July 1992. • Prof. Leung Ping-chung of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology has been appointed by HE the Governor as a member of the Occupational Safety and Health Council for three years from 22nd August 1992. • Dr. Tsao Poon-yee, lecturer in music, has been appointed as an adviser to the China Music Archives of the China Music Conservatory in Beijing from July 1992. Dr. Tsao has also been registered as a Subject Specialist of the Hong Kong Council for Academic Accreditation from May 1992. • Dr. Wong Wai-leung, senior lecturer in Chinese language and literature, has been invited by the Hong Kong Council for Academic Accreditation to be a validation panel member for the BA (Hons) Course in Humanities (Literature and Professional Writing Option) of the Hong Kong Baptist College for 1992. • Dr. Poon Wai-keung, senior lecturer in organization and management, has been re-appointed as an external examiner for the course of organization behaviour of the Open Learning Institute of Hong Kong for 1992. Dr. Poon has also been elected a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Personnel Management (FIPM) from 16th June 1992. • Mr. Robert Wu, director of Office of Industrial and Business Development, has been elected a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of University-Related Research Parks(AURRP) for three years from May 1992. • Prof. Teik E. Oh of the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care has been appointed honorary treasurer of the Interim Council of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. • Prof. Joseph C. K. Lee of the Department of Anatomical and Cellular Pathology has been appointed as editor of the Interim Council of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. • Dr. M. G. Jones, lecturer in chemical pathology, has been admitted as a member of the Royal College of Pathologists from 20th February 1992. • Prof. Arthur K. C. Li of the Department of Surgery has been appointed by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons as a member of the editorial board of the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Surgery.
