4 No. 71 4th June 1995 CUHK Newsletter 宣 布 事 項 ANNOUNCEMENTS 講座教授就職演講 Professorial Inaugural Lecture on Longevity 內科學系講座教授胡令芳教授將於六月九日下午 五時，假威爾斯親王醫院臨牀醫學大樓二樓演講廳主 持就職演講，講題爲「延年益壽」，歡迎出席。 Prof. Jean Woo, professor of medicine, will deliver an inaugural lecture entitled The Quest for Longevity' at 5.00 p.m. on 9th June 1995 in the lecture theatre of the Clinical Sciences Building at the Prince of Wales Hospital. All are welcome to attend. A bus will leave John Fulton Centre for the hospital at 4.45 p.m. and return at 6.30 p.m. For reservations, please call Ext. 7990. 更改發薪日期 Change of Salary Payment Day 行政與計劃委員會最近決定由一九九五年七月起，更改發放薪金的日期，從現 行的每月廿五日改爲每月最後一個工作天。在聖誕及農曆新年的月份，發薪日則維 持不變。 Following the AAPC's approval, the Payroll Office will reschedule the salary payment day from 25th to the last working day of the month from July 1995. The payment day for the months of Christmas and the Chinese Lunar New Year will remain unchanged. 增加自置居所津貼 New Home Purchase Allowance Scale 校方最近通過新的自置居所津貼，生效日期追溯至一九九五年一月一日。新津 貼額比舊的增加了百分之八點一，唯只適用於一九九五年一月一日起才加入自置居 所 計 劃 者 ， 或 打 算 換 屋 的 現 行 計 劃 成 員 。 查 詢 請 電 曾 莫 潔 英 女 士 （ 內 線 七 三三 六）。 The University has approved the new Home Purchase Allowance scale with retroactive effect from 1st January 1995. The new scale, increased by 8.1 per cent, is only applicable to new entrants to the Home Purchase Scheme on or after 1st January 1995 and to existing beneficiaries who wish to change property. Please contact Ms. Kitty Tsang at Ext. 7336 for details of the new rates. 房屋津貼 Private Tenancy Allowance Rates 大學最近決定追隨政府增加房屋津貼金額，由一九九五年四月一日起生效。四 至六月份的津貼差額，將連同七月份的房屋津貼，於六月發放。 The University has approved the following rates of Private Tenancy Allowance with retroactive effect from 1st April 1995. This is the second review exercise this year and results of the review will become effective on 1st January 1996 or after. All nominations and recommendations should rearch Mr. S. S. Tam, secretary of the Administrative Affairs Committee, c/o the Personnel Office, 3/F, University Administration Building (Ext. 7269 ), on or before 30th June 1995. The Administrative Affairs Committee and the Sub-Committee on Junior Staff Affairs will in due course deliberate on the nominations and make decisions/recommendations where appropriate for implementation. 立法局選民登記影帶 Tape on Legco Elections 1995 選舉事務處與香港電台聯合製作了一齣有關立法局九個新設功能組別的宣傳短 片，介紹選民登記程序。有興趣者可到大學圖書館借取觀看。 The Registration and Electoral Office and Radio Televison Hong Kong have jointly produced an educational video on the registration procedures of Legco's nine new functional constituencies. Interested staff members may borrow the tape from the University Library. 大學游泳池延長開放時間 University Swimming Pool News 大學游泳池將於六月十四日（星期三)至九月三日 (星期日)延長開放時間： 第一節：上午八時至下午一時四十分 第二節：下午二時三十分至七時十五分 夜泳：逢星期三晚八時至十時十分 星期日及公眾假期照常開放。 范克廉樓二樓一零八室學生事務處備有大量本年度套票(學生五十元，教職員及 其成人家屬一百元，十八歲以下家屬五十元，校友一百元，嘉賓二百七十元），每套 十二張，歡迎購買。 Between 14th June and 3rd September 1995 the opening hours of the University swimming pool will be extended as follows: First session: 8.00 a.m. - 1.40 p.m. Second session: 2.30 p.m. - 7.15 p.m. Night session (Wednesday only): 8.00 p.m. - 10.10 p.m. The pool is open seven days a week including public holidays.
