The pool will re-ope n i n April 1997 . The exact date of re-opening wil l be announced in due course. Art Museum Silver Jubilee Exhibition an d Symposium To celebrat e it s 25t h anniversary , th e Ar t Museum i s holding a n exhibition fro m 22n d November 199 6 to 19t h January 199 7 i n it s East an d Wes t Win g Galleries . Entitle d 'Chinese Ar t Treasure s i n Academia : Ar t Museum o f The Chinese University o f Hon g Kong Silver Jubilee Exhibition', the exhibition features paintings , calligraphy , rubbings , ceramics, bronzes, jades, and other items from the museum's collection. The exhibition aims to demonstrat e th e spectacula r scop e of th e collection, a s well a s the support the museum has enjoyed from benefactors and donors over the past 25 years. The opening ceremony o f the exhibitio n will take place on 21st November at 4.30 p.m. in th e Art Museum . I t wil l b e conducted b y Sir Quo-we i Lee , chai r o f th e Universit y Council, Dr . Jun g Se n Lee , chai r o f th e museum's Managemen t Committee, and Mrs. Rosemary Leckie , chair of the Friends of the Art Museum . In conjunction with the Friends of the Art Museum wh o ar e celebratin g thei r 15t h anniversary, th e Art Museu m i s also holdin g an internationa l symposiu m entitle d 'Ne w Studies i n Chines e A r t an d Antiquities' . Chinese scholar s an d expert s fro m othe r countries will shar e the findings of their latest research o n the subject. The conferenc e wil l take place on 22nd and 23rd November a t the Pacific Conferenc e Centr e in Central .
