Where applicable, the originals or certified true copies of relevant documents should be attached. Married appointees are also reminded to notify the Personnel Office on prescribed forms if they would like to change their options in respect of benefits such as housing, education allowance, and passages, or i f there are any changes in their spouses' entitlement to such benefits provided by the latters' employers. 預 防 肝 炎 運 動 H e p a t i t i s P r e v e n t i v e C a m p a i g n 保健處將於三月十二至廿四日再度舉辦預防肝炎運動，在保健中心展出有關肝炎的 資料，為教職員及其家屬和學生檢驗肝炎抗原及抗體，並為有需要者注射疫苗。抽血檢 驗及注射疫苗費用為每次一百元。抽血日期為三月十二及十三日，注射疫苗則在三月十 九及二十日。 A Hepatitis Awareness Campaign will be held at the Health Centre from 12th to 24th March. It will feature an exhibition and blood tests for University staff, their dependants and students, who can take the test on 12th and 13th March. Vaccination is available on 19th and 20th March. The cost of each blood test and vaccination is $100. 心 肺 復 甦 急 救 課 程 F i r s t - A i d C o u r s e i n C a r d i o - P u l m o n a ry R e s u s c i t a t i o n 保健處將於五、六月舉辦心肺復甦急救課程，課程重點在提供心肺復甦法之理論與 實習，共分五節，每節兩小時，由五月二十日起，逢星期三下午二時半至四時半，在保 健中心研討室講授，費用全免。 此課程專為中大員生而設，名額二十名。學員完成課程後，可獲發出席證書。報名 表格可在保健中心索取，截止報名日期為四月三十日，查詢請電護士長蔡太( 內線六四 二三）。 T he Universit y Health Service w i ll offer a five-session first-aid course to introduce the basic theory and practice of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation as a life-saving measure in emergency. It is open to both staff and students and w i ll run on five consecutive Wednesday afternoons (2.30 to 4.30 p.m.) from 20th May to 17th June 1998 at the Seminar Room of the Health Centre. No course fees w i ll be charged, and certificates of attendance w i ll be issued on request upon completion of the course. Application forms are obtainable from the Health Centre. Please enrol before 30th April and direct enquiries to Ext. 6423. 「 東 方 文 明 之 光— — 良 渚 文 化 玉 器 」 展覽 E x h i b i t i o n : T h e D a w n o f C h i n e s e C i v i l i z a t i o n, J a d e s o f t h e L i a n g z h u C u l t u r e 文 物館 與良渚文化博物館將 於 三月 七 日 至五月 廿 四日， 假 文物 館 西 翼展覽 廳合 辦 「 東 方 文 明 之 光— —良 渚 文 化 玉 器 」 展 覽 。 開 幕 典 禮 將 於 三 月 六 日 下 午 四 時 三十 分 舉 行 ， 由 浙 江 省 餘 杭 市 副 市 長 勞 偉 民 先 生 ， 敏 求 精 舍 主 席 、 中 大 文 物 館 管 理 委員 會 委 員 關 善 明 博 士 和 署 理 校 長 金 耀 基 教 授 主 持。 為配合展覽，中國 文化 研究所 會 於 三月十 日 下午四 時 假 該所 一 二 六 室舉 辦學術 講 座 ， 由 浙 江 省 文 物 考 古 研 究 所 研 究 員 王 明 達 教 授 主 講 「 浙 江 餘 杭 出 土 良 渚 玉 器之 若 干 問 題 」 。 歡 迎 出 席。 「 良 渚 文 化 」 是 以 浙 江 省 餘 杭 市 良 渚 鎮 命 名 ， 為 距 今 四 、 五 千 年 前 廣 佈 於 長江 下 游 的 新 石 器 時 代 文 化 。 至 今 發 現 的 良 渚 文 化 遺 址 有 村 落 、 墓 地 、 祭 壇 、 超 巨 型建 築 基 址 等 ， 是 當 時 的 政 治 、 經 濟 、 宗 教 、 文 化 中 心 ； 出 土 文 物 包 括 先 進 的 稻 作 犁耕 農 具 ， 風 格 獨 特 的 黑 陶 ， 以 及 精 緻 絕 倫 的 玉 器 。 「 良 渚 文 化 」 以 玉 器 最 具 代 表 性。 玉 器 上 雕 刻 精 美 的 神 徽 圖 像 ， 形 象 神 秘 詭 異 ， 刻 線 細 如 毫 髮 ， 散 發 著 東 方 古 老 文明 的 神 奇 魅 力 。 「 良 渚 文 化 」 的 玉 器 在 同 期 中 國 乃 至 環 太 平 洋 的 部 族 中 獨 佔 鼇 頭 ，標 識著中國史前玉文化的高峰。 是 次 展 覽 的 展 品 來 自 餘 杭 市 境 內 重 點 遺 址 的 出 土 文 物 共 九 十 六 件 ， 包 括 各 式玉 琮 、 玉 璧 、 玉 鉞 、 玉 珮 飾 等 禮 器 ， 而 多 件 玉 器 上 都 雕 飾 有 精 美 的 、 結 合 神 人 和 獸面 的 神 徽 圖 像 ， 是 「 良 渚 文 化 」 玉 器 的 精 品 。 其 中 不 少 玉 器 ， 更 係 首 次 公 開 展 出 ，具 有 較 高 的 學 術 研 究 和 欣 賞 價 值。 Ninety-six items of L i a n g z h ou jades from the collection of the Liangzhu Culture Museum w i ll be on display in the West-wing Galleries of the CUHK Art Museum from 7th March to 24th May 1998. Liangzhu is a small town in the vicinity of Yuhang City in Zhejiang Province, where thousands of relics have been excavated from many archaeological sites. These relics are remnants of the Liangzhu Culture, one of the most important Neolithic cultures along lower Yangtze some 4,000 to 5,300 years ago. One major characteristic of the Liangzhu Culture is the magnificence of its jade artifacts. In terms of quality, quantity, variety, and technical excellence, Liangzhu jades represent the height of the jade industry in prehistory China and the entire Pacific rim. The 96 items on display include cong-tubes, bi-discs, yue-axes, and various types of pendants and ornaments, many of which are exquisitely decorated with the hallmark motif of Liangzhu jades — the mythical pattern of a half-human half-animal mask. Some exhibits have never been publicly displayed before. Jointly organized by the Liangzhu Culture Museum and the Art Museum, the exhibition w i ll be officially opened on 6th March at 4.30 p.m. by Mr. Lao Weimin, deputy mayor of Yuhang City; Dr. Simon Kwan, chairman of M i n Chiu Society and member of the Art Museum Management Committee; and Prof. Ambrose King, acting vice-chancellor of CUHK. A talk on 'Problems Relating to the Liangzhu Jades Excavated from Yuhang, Zhejiang' w i ll be given on 10th March (4.00 p.m.) by Prof. Wang Mingda, Research Fellow of the Zhejiang Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, in room 126 of the Institute of Chinese Studies.
