The Vice-Chancellor himself will officiate at the award presentation ceremony to be held on Monday, 2nd April at University Guest House I. Please visit the homepage of Business Office ( http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/bus/internal/canteen/) for the findings. Further suggestions on the mode of operation of the canteens are also welcome. 軟件版權政策 Intellectual Property (Miscellaneous Amendments) Ordinance 2000 《2000年知識產權(雜項修訂)條例》將由本年四月一日起生效，資訊科技服務處 借此重申大學反對使用盜版軟件的政策。 各部門及單位主管均有責任確保大學的一切財產得到適當的管理，包括電腦軟 件的運用。除了要妥善保存所有部門內應用軟件的牌照和購買證明外，亦應定期查 核軟件和向下屬發布大學的有關政策。 各部門的電腦及資訊科技職員，以及網絡管理人均不應使用盜版軟件，並須堅 決拒絕其他職員把盜版軟件裝置入部門內的電腦，以及向上司報告此等情況。 教職員不要使用一些已知道或有理由相信是侵犯版權的物品，並要小心閱讀牌 照同意書內的細項，了解自己的權利和義務。 校方已經取得很多校內廣泛應用的軟件的牌照，而資訊科技服務處亦正在辦理 其他軟件的牌照事宜。 詳情請瀏覽網址 http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/mcas/sitelicense 或 電郵 itsc-help@cuhk.edu.hk。 欲查閱該修訂條例的相關事項，請到 http://www.info.gov.hk/ipd/faq/ip_misc_faq_ c.htm。 From the ITSC: As the Intellectual Property (Miscellaneous Amendments) Ordinance 2000 will come into effect on 1st April 2001, ITSC would like to restress the University's policy against the use of pirated software. Unit heads/department chairpersons/budget holders are responsible for the appropriate management of University assets, and, in this particular context, computer software. They should maintain a proper record of software licenses and proof of purchase of all the software they are using in their department, conduct periodic software auditing, and help disseminate the University's policy to their staff. All departmental computer/IT staff and network administrators should be cautioned that they should not only avoid using pirated software, but should also refuse and report requests from other staff for installation of illegal copies into departmental computers. As a staff member of the University, you should not use computer software that you know or have reason to believe infringes upon copyright. You should also read carefully the terms of the licensing agreements to observe your rights and obligations. The University has acquired university-wide licenses of a number of commonly used computer software and ITSC has been coordinating various software license programmes.
