乙型肝炎的傳染途徑為傷口接觸到病毒者的血液或其他身體分泌、輸入受感染 者的血液、性接觸或母親傳染予初生嬰兒；十分一受感染者會成為帶病毒者，而四 分一帶病毒者會死於肝癌或肝硬化。 抽血檢驗於十月七及八日上午九時至中午十二時半，以及下午二時至四時半在 保健醫療中心進行，費用為一百元。欲注射乙型肝炎疫苗者，必須驗血；欲注射甲 型肝炎疫苗者，則可選擇直接注射。 注射甲型肝炎疫苗(兩劑)每劑費用二百二十五元，乙型肝炎疫苗(三劑)每劑七 十元，而混合甲乙型肝炎疫苗(三劑)則每劑二百二十元。疫苗注射日期訂於十月十 四及十五日、十一月十一及十二日，以及明年四月七及八日進行，時間為上午九時 至下午十二時半，以及下午二時至四時半。 Prevaccination blood tests, optional for Hepatitis A and required for Hepatitis B, will be available from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 2.00 to 4.30 p.m. on 7th and 8th October 2004, at HK$100 per test. Vaccinations are available from 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 2.00 to 4.30 p.m. on 14th and 15th October (1st dose), 11th and 12th November (2nd dose), and 7th and 8th April 2005 (3rd dose). Vaccinations for Hepatitis A come in two doses at HK$225 per dose, while those for Hepatits B come in three doses at HK$70 per dose. The three-dose combined Hepatitis A and B regimen costs HK$220 per dose. The campaign will also comprise a Hepatitis update by Dr. Nancy Leung from 1.00 to 2.00 p.m. on 13th October 2004 (Wednesday), an exhibition from 4th to 15th October 2004, and health counselling at the University Health Centre. Hepatitis A vaccination is recommended for individuals from Western countries, people aged under 30, and members of high risk groups including frequent travellers, paediatric care workers, and sewage workers. 注射流行性感冒疫苗運動 Influenza Vaccination 大學保健處訂於九月十六及十七日在保健醫療中心為大學員生注射流行性感冒 疫苗，費用六十元。 The University Health Service will organize an influenza vaccination campaign on 16th and 17th September 2004 (Thursday and Friday). Vaccinations are HK$60 per dose and will include the following three items: A/New Caledonia (H1N1), A/Fujian (H3N2), and B/Shanghai, as recommended by the World Health Organization. The roadshow will run from 6th to 18th September from 10.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. on weekdays, and from 10.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on Saturdays. The exhibits come from the Art Museum collection and donations from a member of the Friends of the Art Museum. 訃告 Obituary 前新雅中國語文研習所主任劉銘先生於二零零四年八月十五日在美國洛杉磯住 所辭世，享年七十一歲。 劉先生於一九七四年隨語文研習所加入中大，服務至一九九零年，九零至九一 年任研習所名譽顧問。 Mr. Liu Ming, former director of the New Asia—Yale-in-China Chinese Language Centre, passed away on 15th August 2004 at his home in Los Angeles, USA. He was 71. Mr. Liu joined the University in 1974 and served as the director of the language centre until 1990. He was honorary adviser to the language centre in 1990-91. 更正 Corrigendum 上期刊載之系主任及學科主任名單有誤，翻譯系系主任應為方梓勳教授，現代 語言及文化學科主任應為鄧慧蘭教授。 There were two errors in last issue's list of department chairs and directors of studies.
