宣 布 事 項 ANNOUNCEMENTS 新任講座教授 Professorial Appointment 大學委任陳漢夫教授為數學講座教授，任期由二零零五 年十月一日起生效。 陳教授為本校校友，一九八五年取得紐約大學哲學博士 學位，九三年加入中大服務，九八年升任教授。他是多個專 業學會的會員或院士，現任九種學術期刊編輯。 Prof. Raymond Chan Hon-fu has been appointed professor o f mathematics from 1s t October 2005. Prof. Cha n received his B.Sc . i n mathematics fro m the Chinese University , an d hi s M.Sc . an d Ph.D . i n applie d mathematics from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University. He joined the CUHK Departmen t of Mathematics in 1993 . He i s a membe r o f th e America n Mathematica l Society , th e Hon g Kon g Mathematical Society , th e Sout h Eas t Asian Mathematica l Society , th e Chines e Mathematical Society , the Society of Industrial an d Applie d Mathematics, the Chinese Society o f Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and a fellow o f the Worl d Innovation Foundation. 更改教職員個人資料 Updating of Staff Personal Data 同人的個人資料如姓名、婚姻狀況、子女、學歷等倘有更改，請填妥「更改個 人資料表」並連同有關文件正本或獲確認的副本一併交回人事處。而地址、電話或 在緊急事故時的聯絡人資料如有更改，亦務請以書面通知人事處，以便更新。全職 僱員可透過互聯網登入「僱員個人資料查詢系統」（網址為 https://perntc.per.cuhk. edu.hk/ssp/logon.asp) ，查閱個人的資料紀錄並下載「更改個人資料表」，或致電二 六零九七二九一索取有關表格。 個人資料的變動可能影響同人可享的附帶福利，須即時申報。 To ensure the accuracy of staff data records, staf f members with changes of personal data such as name, marital status, birth of child, emergency contact, or acquisition o f additional qualifications are requested to submit the form 'Change of Personal Data' t o the Personnel Office with the originals o r certified true copies of relevant supportin g documents attached . Staff members with any change in address or telephone number should also inform the Personnel Office of the same in writing. Full-time staff members may now access the Staff Self-Service Enquiry System via the web (https://perntc.per. cuhk.edu.hk/ssp/logon.asp ) to check their personal data records, and download the form 'Change of Personal Data' fo r updating purposes. The form can also be obtained by calling 2609 7291. Chan Chi Fai Andrew, professor in the Department of Marketing, has been appointed by the Chief Executive of the HKSAR a s a member o f the Electora l Affairs Commission for four years from 29th September 2005. • Prof . Chan Kay Sheung Paul, professor in the Department of Microbiology, has been re-appointed by the Secretar y fo r Health, Welfare and Food as a member of the Grant Review Board, the scientific adviser t o the Research Council of the Health, Welfare and Foo d Bureau for two years from 1s t October 2005. • Prof . Jean Woo, professor of medicine, has been appointed by the Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food as a member of the Research Council fo r two year s from 1s t October 2005. • Prof . Lam Chin g Wa n Eric , associat e professor in the Department of Chemical Pathology, has been awarded the 'Bes t Oral Presentation Prize' in the 2005 43rd Australasian Associatio n o f Clinica l Biochemists Annua l Scientifi c Conference on 6th October 2005. • Prof . Clemen t Tha m Che e Yung , professor i n th e Departmen t o f Ophthalmology an d Visual Services , is nominated a s one of Ten Outstandin g Young Person s o f Hon g Kon g b y th e Junior Chambe r Internationa l Hon g Kong.
