Major duties are to help organize and promote hostel activities, and to assist in administrative duties in the General Office. This is a concurrent appointment and free lodging will be provided. There will, however, be no other subsidy of any kind. The appointee will be provided a free single room within a flat in Halls 4-6. The appointee must be a full-time, degree-holding University staff. Application forms are available at the General Office of the Jockey Club Postgraduate Hall (PGH1). Completed forms should be returned to the same office by 30th May 2006. For enquiries, please contact Ms. Novia Ng at 3163 5211. Postgraduate Halls Bursary Scheme The Postgraduate Halls are inviting requests for bursary jobs from all CUHK departments/ units. The halls have over 300 postgraduate students who can provide a wide range of on- campus services free of charge including translation, web page creation and editing, event coordination, project coordination, and typing and clerical work. Interested departments/units can contact the Postgraduate Halls Office at enquiry@pgh. cuhk.edu.hk or call 3163 3131 for details. Services are available on a first-come-first- served basis. 暑期運動訓練班及比賽已接受報名 體育部每年暑期開辦多項運動訓練班和比賽,鼓勵同事善用假期,並培養運動習 慣;今年更開設兩項師生運動訓練班(水肺潛水體驗、泳術改良),加強教職員和學生於 課堂以外的溝通及聯繫。 由去年起,訓練班和比賽已採用網上報名的形式,中大同事透過體育部網頁 h t t p : // www.peu.cukk. edu.hk/summersports/indexc.htm 便可查閱詳情和報名; 本年度 更採用電腦抽籤決定錄取名單。網上報名日期由二零零六年四月十八日至四月二十二日。 查詢可致電二六零九六九八六與阮伯仁先生,或二九九四四七八七與何國泰先生聯絡。 文物館展出「海納百川:上海豫園藏海派書畫』 Forthcoming Exhibition on 'Shanghai Artists : The Yu Garden Collection' 日期:二零零六年四月二十二日至六月二日 地點:文物館東翼展覽廳 開幕禮訂於二零零六年四月二十一日(星期五)下午四時半舉行,由副校長廖柏偉教 授主持,上海豫園管理處臧嶺主任剪綵。 豫園建於明嘉靖年間,是著名的江南古典園林,又是海上畫派的發祥地。豫園收藏了 清代及近現代的名家書畫千餘幅,此展覽精選其中五十項,包括馮超然、蒲華的山水畫; 任頤、汪亞塵的花鳥畫;豐子愷、錢慧安的人物畫;黃賓虹、童大年的篆書;曾熙、馬公 愚的隸書;潘伯鷹的楷書;何紹基、沈尹默的行書;謝稚柳的草書等。展品共計總畫三十 項、書法二十項,薈萃展現海派書畫大家的風采,並促進滬港文化交流。 Date: 22nd April —2nd June 2006 Venue: East-wing galleries, Art Museum An opening ceremony hosted by Prof. Liu Pak Wai, pro-vice-chancellor, will be held at 4.30 p.m. on 21st April 2006. Mr. Zang Ling, director of Yu Garden Management Office, w i ll officiate at the ceremony. The Yu Garden, located in the Southeast of Shanghai City, is a classical Chinese garden of the South. The construction of the garden took place in the Jiajing reign (1522- 1566) of the Ming dynasty. Since then it had become the birthplace of the Shanghai Painting School and a meeting place for painters, calligraphers and epigraphists. The Management Office of the Yu Garden has acquired more than a thousand pieces of painting and calligraphy by renowned Qing to modem Shanghai artists over years. Fifty pieces have been selected for this exhibition, including 30 paintings and 20 works of calligraphy. Among the distinctive paintings are landscapes by Feng Chaoran, Huang Shanshou, Wu Qinmu, Pu Hua and Wu Qingyun; bird-and-flower paintings by Ren Yi, Zhao Yunhe, Wang Yachen and Zhang Dazhuan; and portraits by Feng Zikai, Qian Huian and Wang Zhen. In calligraphy, equally significan t works are shown, including seal script by Huang Binhong and Tong Danian; clerical script by Zeng X i and Ma Gongyu; regular script by Pan Boying; running script by He Shaoji, Shen Yunmo and Wu Hufan; and also cursive script by Xie Zhiliu.
