中大通訊 CUHK Newsletter 6 新任校董 New Council Member 依據大學條例規程11第1(i)段，第4段及第5段規定，梁怡教授獲教 務會推選，繼關信基教授出任大學校董，任期由二零零六年八月 十六日起至二零零七年七月三十一日止。 In accordance with Statute 11.1(i), 11.4 and 11.5 of The Chinese University Ordinance, Prof. Leung Yee has been elected by the Senate as Member of the Council from 16th August 2006 to 31st July 2007, succeeding Prof. H.C. Kuan. 化學榮休講座教授 Emeritus Professor of Chemistry 經教務會推薦，並依據大學條例規程21規定，大學校董會通過頒授 化學榮休講座教授名銜予已退休的李偉基教授，由二零零六年十月 十八日起生效。 In accordance with Statute 21 of The Chinese University Ordinance, theUniversityCouncil awarded the title of Emeritus Professor of Chemistry to Prof. Li Wai-kee, retired professor of the University, with effect from 18th October 2006, as recommended by the Senate. 醫學榮譽講座教授 Honorary Professor of Medicine 一九九八年諾貝爾生理醫學獎得人路易斯．歇拿奴教授獲大學授予 醫學榮譽講座教授銜，由二零零六年九月十二日起生效。 Prof. Louis J. Ignarro, 1998 Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine, has been conferred the title of Honorary Professor of Medicine by the University from 12th September 2006. 公積金及強積金計劃投資成績 Investment Returns of Staff Superannuation Scheme and MPFS 財務處公布公積金及強積金計劃內各項投資成績回報如下： The Bursary announces the following investment returns in the Designated Investment Funds of the 1995 Scheme and Mandatory Provident Fund Scheme (MPFS). 二零零六年九月 September 2006 二零零六年第三季 Third Quarter of 2006 * 實際與指標回報已包括有關期間的匯率變動。 Both actual and benchmark returns including foreign currency exchange difference for the period concerned. ** 強積金數據乃根據有關期間的單位價格及標準投資管理費計算，未包括管理費回扣。 Based on the changes in unit price during the period concerned and using the standard investment management fee. Fee rebate has not been reflected. 節約能源約章2006 ─ 適當室內溫度 CUHK Signs Energy Conservation Charter 大學應政府機電工程署的邀請，參與「節約能源約章2006─適當室內溫度」運動，並已簽 署了約章。該約章旨在鼓勵團體及個人攜手合作，在日常工作和生活中實踐節約能源，以符 合「須用則用，可慳則慳」的原則。約章建議，在一般及可行情況下，夏天的理想空調室溫 為攝氏25.5度。大學則按情況而調整，如大型課堂、個別實驗室、甚多電腦設備的資訊科技 服務處，以及圖書館的藏書地方等，或須作特別安排。至於員工的夏季服裝，則由各部門按 工作性質及實際情況而決定。 The University has signed the ‘Energy Conservation Charter 2006 — Suitable Room Temperature’ of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) of the HKSAR Government. The aim of the charter is to encourage participants to save energy in their daily lives and follow the principle of ‘use if required, save if possible’.
