2 CU Link The ‘CU Link’ is a smart card issued to all student and staff members. It carries the following functions: • University ID card – the cardholder’s personal information is printed on the card and stored in the chips of the card as a proof of identity. • Access permit – to facilitate speedy authentication for entering libraries, computer rooms, laboratories, offices, sports centres and hostels, etc. • Library card – to borrow books, log into public PCs in libraries and retrieve library resources. • Attendance taking – to complete the sign up procedure by placing the card over a card reader at College assemblies, seminars or workshops. • e-Wallet – to make electronic payments, to switch on the air-conditioner, washing machine, dryer and extractor in hostels. Go to the MyCUHK front page (https://portal.cuhk.edu.hk) and key in the login ID (i.e. student, staff or alumnus/alumna ID number) and password to browse the following: • MyPage – quick access to class and course information, change password, staff self-service enquiry, e-Ticketing system, etc. • News and Events – updates on the University’s news and events • CUSIS and MyStudy/MyTeaching – e-learning platform, VeriGuide and Moodle, etc. • Library – access to library catalogue, library records and MyLibrary, etc. • Webmail – send and receive e-mails through the campus- wide e-mail system • Useful Links – information on learning and campus life e-Campus
