Four CUHK table-tennis players clinched the championship, first runner-up and third runner-up (see table below) at the Second Joint University Table Tennis Invitation Match on 27 April. Hosted by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, a total of 33 players from six local universities and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government took part in the event. Players were divided into groups of four. The best two players from each group advanced to the Invitational Cup knock-out round, while the remaining two entered the Invitational Bowl knock-out round. The women players competed for the Invitational Plate.
