The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Nanjing University (NJU) and Taiwan Central University (NCU) established the Cross-strait Green University Consortium in 2011 to consolidate resources to drive joint initiatives that incorporate green concepts into research and education. Under this framework, the consortium recently organized the Joint Research Seminar in Energy and Sustainability at NCU and the Joint Symposium on General Education on CUHK campus from 15 to 17 May and on 31 May, respectively. The seminar discussed about green issues such as new energy and energy technologies, and the planning of a sustainable campus. Environment-related general education courses were the theme of the symposium. Participants exchanged ideas on topics covering course design, teaching method and how to enhance the course content.
