- Prof. Shaw Pang-chui, director of the Biochemistry Programme and professor of the School of Life Sciences, has been appointed by the Secretary for the Environment as chairman of the Endangered Species Advisory Committee for two years from 1 October 2014.
- Prof. Hung Leung-kim, professor of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, has been appointed by the Secretary for Food and Health as a member of the Supplementary Medical Professions Council, and also as the chairman of the Physiotherapists Board for three years from 1 October 2014.
- Prof. Chang Ping-hung Wallace, associate professor of the School of Architecture, has been appointed by the Chief Executive of the HKSAR as a member of the Appeal Board Panel (Town Planning) for two years from 1 October 2014.
- Prof. Wong Yeung-shan, Samuel, associate director (Undergraduate Education) and professor of the Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care, has been appointed by the Secretary for Food and Health as a member of the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health for two years from 1 October 2014.
