The University's Graduate School continued to admit highly-qualified students from outside Hong Kong into all areas of the postgraduate programme; many of these come from educational and research institutions in mainland China. Faculty exchange p r o g r ammes were sponsored in cooperation with The British Council, the Fulbright Program , and the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning (ASAIHL). As for short-term exchange and cooperative programmes, partners included The Henry Luce Foundation, Yale University, the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia, The Council of Foundations, Yale-China Association, and the Lingnan Foundation. The University is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the International Association of Universities, ASAIHL, and the Hong Kong-America Center, It also participates in the activities of the University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP), the Asia-Pacific Higher Education Network (APHEN), the Institute of International Education (HE), ASIANetwork, and the Association of International Educators. In fostering a richer academic and research environment and enhancing the cultural and intellectual life of the campus, the University will continue to develop existing academic ties while seeking new ones. 24 學術發展
