傑‧出‧研‧究 Outstanding Research Project 工程學院 訊息工學系李東敎授率先推導出超圖圏的歐拉公 式，對電腦科學的複雜度理論、訊息理論和數據庫 系統，以及偏序集特性的研究影響重大。李敎授的 研究成果獲麻省理工學院、貝爾實驗室、中國科學 院 和 台 北 中 央 研 究 院 等 重 要 科 研 機 構 同 行 的 關 注 。 Faculty o f Engineer ing Prof. Tony T. Lee of the Department of Information Engineering has successfully derived the Euler's formula of the cyclomatic numbers of hypergraphs, which is important to the study of complexity theory in computer science, information theory and relational database systems, and the properties of partially ordered sets. This major breakthrough in hypergraph theory has attracted the attention of leading research institutions such as MIT, Bell Labs, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Academia Sinica in Taipei.
