校園建設與環境保護 Campus Development and Environmental Protection 新行政架構與程序 建築處於上一個年度結束前正式重組為校園發展處和物業管理 處,各有明確的工作範圍,在新的一年裡充分發揮各自的職能, 合力改善及美化校園環境。 校園發展處負責大學校園的規劃與發展,監察所有基建、改建 及修葺工程的進度和素質。 物業管理處則負責監管大學建築物及園地的保養,以及物業設 施的日常運作,包括工程服務、潔淨、搬運、庭園佈置及園 藝工作。 這兩個部門都引進了新的程序以選擇顧問和承建商,加強品質 管制,提高運作透明度,確保施工安全,改進效率並致力提 高服務水準。它們又與大學安全事務處緊密合作,確保員生可 享用優美而安全的校園。 新建築物 數項大型建築計劃於是年竣工,又或處於後期的建築或設計階 段。 o 新理科大樓蒙民偉樓落成使用。 o 可提供四百五十個宿位的新研究院宿舍落成。 o 崇基敎學樓群第五期重建接近完成。 n e w a d m i n i s t r a t i v e s t r u c t u r e a n d b e t t e r p r o c e d u r e s The year under review followed the reorganization of the Buildings Office into the Campus Development Office and the Estates Management Office, each with a specific brief to improve and upgrade the campus environment as a whole. The Campus Development Office oversees campus planning and development and monitors the progress and qualit y of all capital, alteration, and improvement works. The Estates Management Offic e supervises the maintenance of campus buildings and grounds, and the operation of its physical plant, including engineering services, scavenging, cleaning, removal services, landscaping, and gardening. Both offices introduced new procedures to selec t consultants and contractors, tighten quality control, enhance the transparency of operations, ensure safety, improve efficiency, and increase user satisfaction. They also worked closely with the University's Safety Office to make the campus safe and pleasant for those who work or live in it. c a p i t a l p r o j e c t s Several capital projects were completed or nearing completion, while others were at an advanced stage of construction or design:
