研究 46 RESEARC H 專利權 中大向來鼓勵敎研人員申請研究成果的專利權，又協助他們 把新發明和新技術轉移作工商業用途，以回饋社會。 截至二零零零年六月底，中大及其敎研人員合共取得十七項 美國專利及一項德國專利，蓋涵生物技術、資訊科技、藥 物、醫療技術，以及材料科學。本校又透過分拆公司或特許 使用協議的形式，把研究成果商品化，進軍國際市場。 Patents The University offers incentives for inventors t o have their innovations and discoveries patented, and seeks to transfer new technologies to the community for everyday use. As at June 2000, the University and its staff had secured 18 patents (17 US and one German), covering various fields in biotechnology, information technology, pharmaceuticals, medical technology, as well as materials science.
