支援工商業 本校亞太工商研究所致力提供培訓、研究及顧問 服務，以加強本地工商管理人員的實力，應付 經濟快速轉變的挑戰。今年該所除與美國多家著 名學府合辦高級行政人員培訓課程外，並積極為 本地及內地企業舉辦培訓班、工作坊和研討會； 另主辦九項公開文憑課程和一項商業傳意證書課 程。二零零一年二月，該所推出兩項嶄新課程， 以配合工商界人才培訓的需求；其中一項是專 為高級行政人員而設的商業精修課程，涵篕十個 最熱門的工管課題；另外一項是為宏利國際營 銷人員而設的財務策劃與管理證書課程，旨在提 升其營銷隊伍的專業水平。 香港生物科技研究院有限公司（簡稱生科院）自 一九八八年成立以來， 一直以推動本地開發生 物科技產品為己任，並提供主要的基礎設施， 以促進生物科技工業的發展。 生科院今年重新設計及改建轄下的藥物製造技術 中心，使其設施達至世界水平。藥物製造技術中 心於二零零一年三月經澳洲監管機構檢核，獲得 認證為符合世界優良藥品製造規範的生產車間， 將有助香港生物科技工業的發展。 生科院的中藥製程開發中心，則繼續支援中藥製 造業的發展；而生科院的製藥技術中心則提供 優良藥品製造規範的技術支援服務，協助香港製 藥業全面提升水平，以符合政府有關指引的要 求。製藥技術中心的主要服務包括優良藥品製造 規範的人員培訓、廠房稽查、顧問服務，以及廠 房設計及建造。 contemporary business. The Hong Kong Institute of Biotechnology Limited (HKIB), founded in 1988, dedicates itself to providing the catalyst and essential infrastructure for the development of a biotechnology industry in Hong Kong. One of the key achievements of HKIB i n the year under review was the completion of the redesigned and upgrade d Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), which was inspected and certified in March 2001 by the Australian regulatory authority in accordance with the Australian code of GMP, qualifying MTC as a world-class GMP pilot manufacturing facility that can contribute towards the emergence and development of biotechnology-related industries in the HKSAR. HKIB's Chinese Medicine Process Development facility, on the other hand, serves to support the manufacturing secto r in the HKSAR for the development of Chinese medicine, whereas the Pharmaceutical Technology Centre provides GMP services addressing the need s of the local pharmaceutical industry, which is currently undergoing a mandatory transition to GMP compliance i n accordance with GMP guidelines for Hong Kong.
