Professor, and subseqeuntly Professor (and concurrently, Head of Chinese Department), in Kwangtung National University; and Part-time Professor in Canton University. H e came to Hon g Kong in 1949 and, thereafter, had been teaching at Kwong Tai College, Kwong Kiu College, United College, N e w Asia College and, since 1955, at Chung Chi College. Publications of his literary works are shown in the Chinese version of this Bulletin. COLLEG E ADMINISTRATIV E STAF F (By order of availability of biographies) Miss Beatric H.C. Tai, Chung Chi College, Warden. Miss Tai was born in Hong Kong , and her native place i s W u Hua, Kwangtung. She received her early education at Fairlea School and St. Paul's Girls' College in Hong Kong, then graduated from True Light Middle School, Canton. In 1943, Miss Tai received her B.Ed. degree from Hua Chung University, Wuchang, and she stayed on in the university as warden for three years. In 1947, she entered the Teachers College of Columbia University majoring in Student Personnel Administration (Guidance), and obtained the degree of M.A. in 1948. She had served as Dean of Discipline a t Pei Teh Middle School, Wuhu. Coming to Hong Kong in 1949, she taught in Heep Yunn Middle School and Kowloon True Light Middle School, serving as Dea n of Girls at True Light from 1957-63. Miss Tai joined Chung Chi College in 1963 a s warden of the Women' s hostel. Dr. W O U Wang Adine, New Asia College, Dean of Women. Dr. W o u is from Foochow, Fukien and was educated in Europe. She graduated from the Universite' d e Bruxelles, as ‘‘Dr. en Droit: Back in China, she was professorfirstat the Fu-Tan National University, and then at the Universite d e I'Aurore, both in Shanghai. She came to Hong Kong in 1952, and in the following year taught at the Chung Chi College. In 1956 she was a part-time lecturer of French at the N e w Asia College. Since 1961 she has been the Dean of Women, while teaching part-time in French. Her publications include “La Chine et le Prohleme de I'Opium,, in French. Mr. Yao Pe-chun, United College, Deputy Registrar, Mr. Yao was born in 1917 in Chekiang, China and received his secondary education there. He attended the National Central University at Chungking, and later with a full scholarship transferred to the University of Hong Kong, where he received the B.A. degree (Economics) in 1943. 10
