F rom 1959 to 1966, he was employed by the Irv in g T ru s t Company, N ew Y o rk C ity , firs t as a trainee and later as a Comm ercial L e n d in g O ffic e r. In 1963, he was awarded a M aster o f Business A d - m in is tra tio n Degree from N ew Y o rk U n iv e rs ity . M r. M cC om b came to H o ng K o n g in October, 1966 to assume the post o f Bursar at Chung C h i College. He also teaches a course in Business E nglish at the College and has assisted the V ice -C hance llo r in a campaign to raise funds from the Am erican business c om m u n ity in H o n g K o n g to fu rn is h and equip the Benjam in F ra n k lin Centre. 生 先 博 公 麥 M r . Donald P. McComb M r . C .L . Yuan, Comptroller, New Asia College M r. C .L . Yuan, C om p tro lle r o f N ew Asia College, was born in T ie n ts in , China. He received his B .A . degree from N a tion a l T singhua U n iv e rs ity , P eiping in 1936. A fte r graduation he was appointed as a Research Fellow o f the N a tion a l Econom ic C oun cil, m aking a survey o f indu stries in Shanghai fo r one and a h a lf years. H a ving served in the M in is trie s o f Econom y and Finance o f the Chinese N a tion a l G overnm ent du rin g the w a r-tim e , he fu rthe red his studies in In d u s tria l Management and Cost A c cou n tin g at Co lum b ia U n i- versity, N ew Y o rk and was conferred a degree o f M .S . in 1946. F rom 1946 to 1949 he worked w ith the Central Bank o f China as Assistant General Manager o f the Banking D epartm ent. D u rin g the same period, he was a p a rt-tim e professor at N a tion a l Chiao T u n g U n iv e rs ity , Shanghai, teaching In d u s tria l O rganiza­ tio n and A dm in is tra tio n . He then came to H o ng K on g , where he engaged h im s e lf in the business o f investm ent and later jo ined the South Sea T e x tile M fg . Co. L td . in the capacity o f adviser. He taught courses in Commercial Science at N ew Asia College and in the E x tram u ra l Studies Departm ents o f H o ng K o n g U n iv e rs ity and T h e Chinese U n iv e rs ity , 7
