F a c u l t y o f Businesss A d m i n i s t r a t i on S u m m e r C a m p The Faculty of Business Adm i n i s t r a t i on organized a five-day summer camp this year to enable Secondary 7 students interested i n studying business to have a taste of wh a t i t is like to be a C U H K b u s i n e s s student. A t the camp, t e a c h e r s f r o m t h e faculty lectured on the basics o f d i f f e r e nt business subjects. The participants were then s p l i t i n t o d i f f e r e nt teams to take part in a case competition, w i t h current students of the faculty as their trainers and professors as the judges. The teachers from the participants' schools were invited to watch the competition. The faculty meticulously selected 35 Secondary 7 students to take part in its summer camp. About 30 subsequently became CUHK students, and of those, about 20 chose business as their major field of study. D i g i t a l H o n g K o n g H o m e p a g e D e s i g n C o m p e t i t i o n The Faculty of Engineering organized a Digital H o ng Ko ng Homepage Design Competition this year, wherein students of the faculty teamed up w i t h secondary school students to design a homepage w i t h 'Digital Ho ng Kong ' as the theme, dealing w i t h the challenges, changes, and opportunities faced by Ho n g Kong i n the information age of the 21st century. The competition gave th e secondary school students a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on exposure t o the rapidly changing Internet technology.
