A New Map of Innovation and Education 15 If Harvard were only a university in Massachusetts, and Tsinghua only a university in Beijing, they could never be great. To become a world-class, international university, CUHK must not confine itself to Hong Kong. In an age of disappearing borders, shrinking distances and shortening time, seats of intellectual power aspiring to world-class stature need to think global in order to make a mark.
