Currently, all research projects at the institute are group ed under seven research centres: ResearchCentre for Comparative CityCultures, Research Centre fo r Cross-cultur al Stu dies, Cen tre f or the Research an d Dev elo pment of Cyberculture, Research Centre for Con fucian Studies, Centre f or Hong Kong Cultural Studies, Research Centr e for Humanities Compu ting, and Research Centre for Phenomenology and the Human Sciences. Itis hoped that allhumanities projects funded by RGC/UGC and other sources be housed under the institute, which will in turn provide clerical and logistic support, serve as an information clearing house, and organize events such as small workshop s, lectures, brain- storming sessions for possible research topics. To facilitate research, the institute has maintained a website where e-texts and e-libraries pertaining to the humanities can be found. The instituteis primarily supported by private funds and external research grants. Its activities are governed by a management board comprisin g senior members of the University.
