The book will be sold at a 20 per cent discount to staff members at the University Bookshop, John Fulton Centre. Staff Development Grants/Programmes 1992-93 The University administers a variety of fellowships and scholarships for teaching and administrative staff to conduct research, pursue further studies in local or overseas institutions, or to broaden their experience through participation in conferences and publication projects. Here is a summary of the major grants for staff development in 1992-93 and the recipients of such grants: ACU Development Fellowships: Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club Fellowship Awardee: Dr. Hung Wai-yee, Eva, Director of Research Centre for Translation, Institute of Chinese Programme: To investigate the national accreditation system for translators and interpreters, and government and commercially-run networks of translation and interpreting service in Australia. Period: 1st-28th September 1992 Asian Productivity Organization Awardee: Dr. Cheung Wai-man, lecturer in decision sciences and managerial economics Programme: To attend a training course on production management information systems in Japan. Period: 11th August - 18th September 1992 Bei Shan Tang Foundation Awardee: Mr. Steven Ng Wai-hung, archaeology field work assistant, Centre for Chinese Archaeology and Art, Institute of Chinese Studies Programme: To pursue a part-time master's programme in archaeology at Zhongshan University in Guangzhou.
