宣布事項 ANNOUNCEMENTS 高錕校長伉儷惜別餐會 Farewell Dinner in Honour of Prof. and Mrs. Charles Kao 校長高錕教授將於本年七月底榮休。高校長自一九 八七年出任大學校長迄今九年，領導本校邁步向前，在 教研發展、科技引進，和校園建設各方面貢獻良多，成 績斐然。校方定於七月廿四日（星期三）晚上七時半假富 麗華酒店翡翠廳舉行餐會，惜別高校長伉儷。 歡迎大學校董、書院校董、教職員、學生、校友， 以及高校長伉儷之友好參加惜別餐會，並邀同親友出 席。餐券每張六百港元（包括中式晚餐及致送高校長伉 儷紀念品的費用）。 未能出席餐會之同人，倘樂意集資購置紀念品致贈 高校長，至表歡迎。 同人擬訂購餐券或參與致送紀念品，請向新聞及公 共關係處索取表格（電話二六零九八八九三或二六零九 八八九五；傳眞二六零三五一一五），並於六月十日前 寄回該處。爲便利居住校園之同人參加餐會，大學將安 排專車接送往返富麗華酒店及校園，雙程車費每位三十 港元。 Prof. Charles K. Kao will retire from the vice-chancellorship on 31st July after nine years of distinguished service. Having made significant contributions to the Chinese University i n the areas of academic development, research, technological development, and campus growth, he will leave Hong Kong after his retirement. A farewel l dinne r i n honour o f Prof , and Mrs. Kao has been arranged for Wednesday 24th July 1996 a t 7.30 p.m. a t the Jade Ballroom o f Hotel Furam a Kempinski. The function is open to all members of the University including Council members, college trustees, staff members, students, alumni , an d friend s o f Prof . an d Mrs . Kao . University member s ca n also invit e friend s to the party . Dinner tickets will be sold at HK$600 each, which covers a full-course Chinese dinner and a share of contribution for a souvenir to be presented to Prof. and Mrs. Kao. Staff members who are unable to attend are welcome to contribute towards the souvenir cost. The appointees mus t be full-time employee s o f CUHK an d degree-holders. The major duty of a resident tutor, who has to live i n the hostel, is to assist hostel wardens to manage the hostel and promote hostel life . Appointmen t wil l b e made on a concurrent post basis. Chor (Ext . 7358) by 10t h June 1996. 心肺復甦急救課程 First Aid Course — Pulmonary Resuscitation 大學保健處將於七月舉辦心肺復甦急救課程，課程 重點在提供心肺復甦法之理論與實習，共分五節，由七 月三日起，逢星期三下午二時半至四時半，在大學保健 中心硏討室講授，費用全免。 此課程專爲中大員生而設，名額二十名。學員完成 課程後，可獲發出席證書。報名表格可在大學保健中心 索取，截止報名日期爲六月十八日，查詢請電護士長蔡 太（內線六四二三）。 The University Health Service will offer a five-session first aid course in cardiopulmonary resuscitatio n for intereste d students and staff. The course intends to explain the basic theory an d practice of cardiopulmonary resuscitatio n as a life-saving measur e i n emergency , an d wil l ru n o n fiv e consecutive Wednesda y afternoons (2.30-4.30 p.m. ) from 3rd to 31st July 199 6 at the Semina r Room o f the Healt h Centre. Certificates of attendance will be issued on request upon completio n o f th e course . No cours e fee s will b e charged. Application form s are available at the Health Centre.
