Ho Food and Nutritional Prof. Kwan Hoi-shan Sciences General Education Prof. Ho Hsiu Hwang 薪金調整 Salary Revisions 大學校董會已通過加薪決議,本校乙類及丙類服務 條款僱員之薪酬,會跟隨公務員之薪金調整。新訂薪金 於本年四月一日生效。大學將於八月按新訂金額支薪, 並連同四至七月之補薪一起發還予僱員。 至於甲類服務條款僱員之薪金調整,尙待港府正式 通過。總務處希望可於九月支付新訂薪金,並連同四月 起之補薪一倂發還僱員。 Following the recent payrise by the Hong Kong Government for civil servants, the University Council has approved a corresponding revision of salaries from 1 St April 1996 for University staffemployed under Terms of Service (B) and (C). New salaries will be paid in the August payroll with backpay for the months up to July 1996. New salaries for staff employed under Terms of Service (A) will be paid as soon as the government has approved their new salary scales. The University Bursar hopes to obtain such approval in time to pay the new salaries with backpay in the September payroll. RGC Invites Applications for Earmarked Research Grants for 1997-98 Applications for earmarked research grants for 1997-98 from the Research Grants Council are now invited. Please note that a new application format has been prescribed for this year's exercise. Requests for application details, new forms and guidelines, as well as completed applications, should be addressed to the Research Committee, c/o Research Administration Office, Room 226, Pi Ch'iu Building (Ext. 8885). The application form is also available as an electronic file (Win Word 6.0). Enquiries may be directed to the Personnel Office (Ext. 7286). 教職員及配偶國粵語課程 Putonghua and Cantonese Courses for Staff and Spouses 新雅中國語文硏習所由一九九六年九月十七日至十 二月三日在方樹泉樓再度爲本校教職員及其配偶舉辦下 列國粤語課程,上課時間暫定星期二及四下午五時至六 時五十分。 (一)供外籍教職員及其配偶選修之初級國語課程。 (二)供外籍教職員及其配偶選修之初級粤語課程。 (三)供粤籍教職員及其配偶選修之初級國語課程。 (四)供非粤籍教職員及其配偶選修之初級粤語課程。 以上課程每班限額八人,按報名先後取錄,少於四 人不開班。全期學費五千六百四十港元,聘任期不少於 兩年之本校全職教職員及其配偶,如未獲其他語言學習 資助者,可獲大學津貼學費百分之四十。 有意就學者請於九月九日前與該硏習所聯絡(內線 六七二七)。 The New Asia Yale-in-China Language Centre will again offer Putonghua and Cantonese courses to the University's staff and their spouses from 17th September to 3rd December 1996.
