Amendments t oStatute 13 provide fo rth eaddition o fth eUniversity Dean o f Students a sa member o fit s Administrative and Planning Committee, and amendments t o Statute 2 6provide fo rth e conferring o fa new master's degree, the Master o fMidwifery (M.Mid.). 英聯邦大學協會西門士獎學金 The T.H.B. Symons Fellowship in Commonwealth Studies 一九九九年度英聯邦大學協會西門士獎學金現已接受申請。該獎學金資助獲選 者進行與英聯邦國家有關的比較或跨國的研究工作，範圍包括人力資源、高等教 育、人權、多元文化、文化政策及國際學術與文化關係等。該獎學金可在獲選者的 國家以外任何一所英聯邦大學協會會員機構內進行，為期三至六個月。惟學位課程 與學術考察團則不在資助之列。 資助包括來回機票、當地交通費及生活費(最高為每月一千五百英鎊）。 有關資料已送交各學院及部門，有意申請者請與學院院長或部門主管聯絡。校 內截止申請日期為一九九九年六月廿四日。查詢請致電人事處（內線七一九一或七 二八八）。 The Association o fCommonwealth Universities ( ACU) invites applications from staff members o fthe University fo rthe T.H.B. Symons Fellowship i nCommonwealth Studies 1999. The fellowship will support comparative o rtrans-national work i nany field o facademic enterprise which i s relevant t o th eCommonwealth, particularly i n th eareas o f human resources, higher education, human rights, multi-culturalism, cultural policy, and international academic an dcultural relations. Th efellowship ma yb eheld i n an yo fACU 's member institutions outside th efellow's own country, fo rthree t osi xmonths. Degree courses an d academic tours will not be supported. Applicants should have good academic qualifications. The award will provide return airfare, local transportation and a subsistence allowance o fup t o£1,500 pe rcalender month which covers costs o fboard and lodging and out-of-pocket disbursements. Staff members interested i napplying for the above fellowship may consult their faculty deans/unit heads, who should have received details about this programme. Further enquiries may be directed to the Personnel Office (Ext. 7191/7288).
