4 No. 159 19th February 2000 CUHK Newsletter 宣布事項 ANNOUNCEMENTS 更改教職員個人資料 Updating of Staff Personal Data 為符合個人資料(私隱)條例及申報稅務,同人之個人資料如姓名、地址、電話、 婚姻/家庭狀況、學歷等倘有更改,請盡早向人事處(內線七一八九)索取所需表格,填 妥後附上有關文件正本或經核證之副本一併交回人事處。 個人資料如有變動,可能會影響僱員的附帶福利,如已婚僱員須選擇享用大學抑或 其配偶的僱主所提供的附帶福利。這些附帶福利包括: 附帶福利 個人資料更改的用途 子女教育津貼 •新生子女日後入學可申領津貼。 房屋福利 •家庭狀況改變(如結婚/新生子女)會影響自行租屋津貼。 •婚姻狀況或配偶職業的改變,須通知人事處以確保並無享用雙 重房屋福利。 旅費 •新生子女將可申領津貼。 醫療福利 •新婚僱員的配偶或新生子女將可成為醫療福利計劃的成員。 •年齡為十九至二十一歲並正接受全日制正規教育(至學士學位 課程為限)的受供養子女,亦可成為醫療福利計劃的成員。 To ensure the accuracy of staff data records as required under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance and for Inland Revenue reporting purposes, staff m e m b e rs are requested to notify the Personnel Office at the earliest possible opportunity if there are changes in their personal data, such as their name, address, telephone number, marital status, birth of child, or acquisition of additional qualifications. Such changes m a y be reported on prescribed forms obtainable from the Personnel Office (Ext. 7189), and, w h e re applicable, the originals or certified true copies of relevant supporting documents should be attached. Changes in personal data m a y have implications on the appointees' entitlement to benefits at the University. For instance, newly married staff should report the change in their marital status since married couples will have to opt to receive benefits from either the University or his/her spouse's employer. Such benefits m a y include the following: Fringe Benefits How Changes in Personal Data may Affect Eligibility for Benefits Children's education allowances • Newborns should be reported to be included as eligible members. Housing benefits • Changes in family size (e.g. marital status/birth of child) should be reported as they may affect the rates of Private Tenancy Allowance. • Changes in marital status/spouse's employment should be reported for clearance of the Rules for the Prevention of Double Housing Benefits. Passages • Newborns should be reported to be included as eligible members. The following are some guidelines for better safe-keeping: • Have all valuable items under lock and key w h en not in use. • Establish inventory control of all valuable items. • Establish a register of valuable items on loan to staff or other departments. • Designate staff for monitoring the inventory and loan systems. • Report to the Security Unit w h en any suspect is spotted in your premises. For more details, please contact the Security Officer at Ext. 7998. 「身心康泰在中大」體適能測試 由體育部主辦的「身心康泰在中大」之體適能測試(一九九九至二零零零年度下學 期),將於本月廿三及廿四日上午十一時半至下午二時半,在富爾敦樓一零三室舉行。 測試項目包括心肺功能、脂肪含量百分比、肌肉力量、肌肉耐力、柔軟度和壓力水平。 採用的測試方法分別為踏台階測試、皮脂測試、手握力測試、仰臥捲腹測試、坐體前伸 測試和問卷調查,共需時二十至三十分鐘。曾參與上述測試者,可再次參與,以審視本 身的體能有否改進。歡迎所有中大員生即場參加,費用全免。 過渡電腦千禧閏年 The Leap Yea r Rollover 儘管中大已順利過渡千禧年,但電算機服務處/資訊科技服務處依然緊密監察中央 電腦管理系統和網絡的運作,並做好充分準備,應付電腦千禧閏年問題,以期從二月二 十八日順利過渡至二月二十九日和三月一日。 應變計劃 電算機服務處/資訊科技服務處已制定了一系列應變計劃: (一)準備一套完整的中央電腦系統資料備份。備份工作將於二月二十二日零時至二月 二十八日下午六時進行,用戶在這期間改動的資料未必能包括在備份內。 (二)全面的系統及網絡測試將會在以下時段進行: 二月二十八日晚上十一時至二月二十九日凌晨三時 二月二十九日晚上十一時至三月一日凌晨三時 期間各系統會間歇出現不穩定情況,請避免在以上時段進行重要的電腦活動。 (三)為方便偵查及解決可能出現的電腦千禧閏年問題,電腦中心在二月二十一日至三 月五日期間都不會增設新系統。 (四)電腦中心的專業及技術人員在二月二十八日至三月六日取消休假,以確保有充足 人手處理各種未能逆料的問題。 (五)由二月二十八日晚上十一時至三月一日晚上十二時,電腦中心設立熱線(二六零 三七八零四及二六零三七八五四),供員生查詢中央電腦系統及網絡的運作情 況,或報告有關電腦千禧閏年的問題。 用戶的應變措施 員生須採取相關的預防措施,以應付不可預知的事故,其中最重要的,就是在二月 二十八日或之前將所有資料作完整的備份。因為電腦程式出問題,便可能破壞跨越閏日 的資料,完整的備份是最佳的保障。 員生可到 http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/y2k 參閱最新的資料。
